Going to the Chiropractor is a new experience for many of us. Maybe we've heard through a friend or have done some research online. It's possible that you are just fed up with living in pain and it's time to do something about it. In either case, your first visit to the chiropractor will really be about getting to know the chiropractor and discussing your history, current condition and goals.
What are you going to do to me the first time I come in?
As with any doctor's visit, you'll start by finishing some new patient paperwork. We will get details as to what your concerns are and the reason(s) for the visit. We may also ask about your health history, lifestyle, and other care you may have had, your job duties, and other quesitons framed to help dtermine the nature and extent of your illness as to determine the best way to go about treating the problem. Only after that will a physical exam of the area(s) of complaint be performed to see if yours is a problem that can be treated with Chiropractic care. Once the problem(s) have been identified, we will report to you what the treatment options are, what it will cost, how long will it take, and address any other concerns you may have. Together, we'll come up with a plan of action which will begin when you are completely satisfied and ready to move forward. If we believe it can not be treated Chiropractically, we will gladly refer you to the health care professional who can best address your problem.
